Replacement toilet and cistern parts

A running, slow-filling or poorly flushing toilet does not always require a complete replacement. The fault may be caused by a worn fill valve, flush valve, syphon, seal, washer or operating component.

Hultons stocks bottom-entry and side-entry fill valves, dual-flush flush valves, syphons, flexible and angled pan connectors, toilet handles and sealing components. Use the dedicated collections to narrow the range, then compare the dimensions and connection details on the product page with the existing part.

How to identify the correct toilet spare

Before ordering, identify where the component is fitted and how it operates. For fill valves, check whether the water inlet enters through the bottom or side of the cistern and confirm the inlet size. For flush components, check whether the toilet uses a push button, handle, cable, flush valve or syphon.

For pan connectors, measure the required length and note the direction and offset between the toilet outlet and soil pipe. “Universal” does not remove the need to compare dimensions, access and connection type.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between a side-entry and bottom-entry fill valve?

Look at where the water supply enters the cistern. A bottom-entry valve connects through the base, while a side-entry valve connects through the side. Confirm the inlet thread and available height as well.

Why does my toilet keep running into the pan?

Common causes include a fill valve that does not shut off, an incorrectly set water level, or a worn flush-valve seal. Inspect the existing components and identify the fault before selecting a replacement.

Are toilet fill and flush valves universal?

Some products are designed to fit a broad range of cisterns, but inlet size, entry position, valve height, outlet size and operating method still need to match the installation.

What should I check before buying a pan connector?

Check the toilet outlet, soil-pipe connection, required length, angle or offset, and the space available behind the pan. Compare those measurements with the individual product specification.

Do I need a complete new cistern for a faulty flush?

Not always. Many faults can be repaired by replacing the fill valve, flush valve, syphon, seal, washer or button mechanism. The correct repair depends on the cistern design and faulty component.
